An architect and co-founder of REXL ST/Arch Design, Shin has played a vital role in revitalising KL’s historic Petaling Street.

His passion for mixing old structures with urban development has enabled him to transform cityscapes and break the cycle of unsustainable developments.

He advocates for purpose-driven, democratic development that transcends finance-based models and helps communities adapt to rapid social change.

Moto is the co-creative director of motogtuo, a fashion label that has created a genre all its own by pushing maximalist and gender-fluid designs into the mainstream.

Moto’s bright colours, quirky textures and strong silhouettes earned him a nomination for the prestigious LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers in 2016. He was the first Southeast Asian designer to be nominated.

Since then, he’s continued to challenge the conservative fashion scene in Malaysia. As Moto
says, “Be open to all possibilities and never settle for superficial, surface-level inspiration. Always dig deeper.”
